What is the Council?
Respecting the separation of powers, the Deliberative Council is the Municipal Legislative body. The Deliberative Council exercises the deliberative role of the Municipality. The Legislative Power is the quintessential body of democracy, as it represents the political forces that the citizenry has voted for, and therefore, it is in the Council where the diverse conceptions regarding the functions of the State and the policies that each one promotes for the city are expressed.
