Programs and services

What we offer

Social Strengthening is in charge of the following services:

Addiction Prevention and Assistance Programs

It is an Outpatient Psychological Treatment Service for addictions.
It attends to spontaneous, judicial, or other institutional demands (Schools, Health Centers, Provincial Council for Adolescents, Children and Family, etc.).
The care modality is individual, family, multi-family, and group-based. It serves people over 13 years of age who consume or are dependent on legal substances (alcoholism, smoking, etc.) and illegal substances. It also assists people affected by non-substance addictions such as ludomania (gambling) and others.
It offers an Addiction Prevention program for young people, parents, and teachers using a workshop methodology, where participation, analysis, and the implementation of preventive actions emerge as a consensus-based construction with the community.

Family Violence Prevention and Assistance Programs

It is an Outpatient Psychological Treatment Service, where care is provided under individual, couple, and group modalities. It attends to spontaneous, judicial, or other institutional demands (Provincial Council for Adolescents, Children and Family, Schools, Health Centers, Neighborhood Commissions, etc.). It offers a Social Work Service, Legal Guidance, and carries out Preventive Actions associated with demands from Neighborhood Institutions, Schools, etc. This Program reminds that Violence can be:
Physical (aggression against the body of a woman or children).
Psychological (intimidating acts, threats, and humiliations).
Sexual (imposition of acts or conduct of a sexual nature against the woman's will).
Economic (such as depriving of assets or forcibly taking away income obtained from work).

Assistance Program for Children with Violated Rights

It is an Outpatient Psychological Treatment Service, where care is provided under individual and family modalities.
It receives treatment requests originating from the 102 Child Helpline, whose telephone operators and social worker previously evaluate the risks and psychological suffering of children with Violated Rights. It also carries out prevention tasks in the school environment.

Suicide Prevention Program

Convened by the Secretariat of Health and Social Development, the institutions of Concordia proposed to provide an inter-institutional response to the problem of suicide. For this purpose, a Working Group was formed, initially involving professionals and non-professionals from institutions such as: Carrillo Hospital, Masvernat, La Criolla Health Center, Association of Social Psychology Operators, Municipality of Concordia, Subprefecture of Concordia, Baptist Church, Trasplante Concordia and Vulnerables Mentales, Association of Parents of Mentally Ill Patients.
In Entre Ríos, during the year 2007, there were around 200 deaths, and statistical data show an increase during the current year.
Suicide Prevention Workshops are developed in schools and Child Development Centers, and spontaneous demands from institutions where suicide situations occur are addressed.

102 Child Helpline

It is a free service for listening, support, and guidance when there are situations of risk for minors.
Its objectives include the dissemination, advice, and prevention of the vulnerability of Children's Rights. It promotes and raises awareness of the rights of all people from birth to 18 years of age, enshrined in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child and incorporated into the Argentine Constitution since 1994.
Telephone operators handle requests, listen, advise, and refer to the relevant institutional resources in the area, optimizing the social network from the family, health center, school, community police, and psychological assistance services.

132 Helpline. Addiction Guidance and Support

It is a free and anonymous service for listening, support, guidance, and referral for addictions.
Experience shows that this service becomes the gateway to possible therapeutic projects that begin with calls from relatives of the consumer or person dependent on legal and illegal substances. There are also demands regarding non-substance addictions.
The privacy and confidentiality of the calls guarantee the continuity of exchanges, many of which conclude in the start of psychological treatments.
There is fluid communication with the Sedronar toll-free number (Presidency of the Nation) and the 132 Helpline of the Huella Center (Paraná), which depends on the Ministry of Health and Social Action of Entre Ríos, facilitating referrals in emergency cases that require hospitalization.
