The Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Sports, invites the community to join the start of the “2026 Social Soccer World Cup”, a children's soccer tournament that will bring together children from different neighborhoods of the city in a proposal that promotes inclusion, sports, and community gathering.
The competition will begin this Saturday, June 13, starting at 9:00 a.m., at the Estadio Ciudad de Concordia, and will take place over four dates. The initiative is part of the “Social Sports Network” and “Neighborhood Sports Leaders” programs, promoted by the municipality with the aim of strengthening access to sports in every corner of the city.
The tournament will feature the participation of teams belonging to different neighborhood sports centers, made up of children in the categories between the years 2014 and 2020. Among the neighborhoods that will be present are San Miguel, Fátima, Coelho, Camba Paso, Camba Pasito, La Roca, Colonia Roca, 27 de Noviembre, Benito Legerén, La Bianca, and the La Bianca settlement, among others.
From the Undersecretariat of Sports, they highlighted that these types of meetings “allow for the creation of spaces for support, camaraderie, and values through sports, consolidating the work that is carried out daily in each neighborhood of Concordia”.
In this way, the municipality continues to strengthen public policies that promote equal opportunities, the integral development of childhood, and access to sports as a tool for social inclusion, within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial.
