The Undersecretariat of Tourism and the Mixed Entity of Tourism of Concordia (EMCONTUR) are working on the development of a new brand for Concordia as a tourist destination, through a participatory process that brings together the private sector and the community. The journey began with meetings with key figures in the industry and will continue with open proposals, such as surveys for residents, to incorporate different perspectives and build an identity that represents the city.
In this context, the first workshop was led by Belén Schauvinhold, Undersecretary of Tourism and executive president of EMCONTUR, and was conducted by Carlos De Robertis, a corporate consultant who is coordinating the branding process.
The incorporation of representatives from the private sector constitutes a central aspect of this initiative. Their experiences and knowledge allow for the addition of a perspective directly linked to the activity and provide concrete elements to define how Concordia wants to be presented and projected.
The objective is to develop a proposal that represents Concordia as a whole, highlighting its distinctive features, its community, and those attributes that differentiate it. In this framework, the work contemplates an integral branding that, in addition to defining a visual identity, allows for the construction of a unique way of communicating, consolidating the city's tourist positioning, and supporting its projection into the future.
FOUR WORK AXES
The project is organized into four axes: Market Study, to understand the context, audiences, and current positioning; Concept and Slogan, aimed at defining the central idea and message; Logo and Isologo Design, intended to develop the graphic elements; and Corporate Identity and Applications, which includes the final definition of the visual system and its implementation in different pieces and media.
The purpose of the meeting was to generate concrete inputs to advance the proposal, based on the experiences, perceptions, and contributions of those who are part of the tourism industry. In this way, the perspective of local actors is incorporated from the early stages and allows for the enrichment of the development.
The future proposal seeks to reflect the way of being of Concordia, its personality, and the attributes it wishes to convey to those who visit it. The challenge is to achieve an approach that is accessible, authentic, and recognizable, capable of accompanying new ways of connecting with destinations and the demands of current tourism.
