With an emotional certificate delivery ceremony, the Deliberative Council of Concordia concluded the annual program Youth Council 2025. The event, held this Wednesday at the Municipal Palace, recognized the intense work of the young council members, who not only created and defended projects, but also immersed themselves in the dynamics of debate and managed to interact directly with the work of the incumbent council members.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice Mayor and President of the Council, Lic. Magdalena Reta Urquiza, the council members Emmanuel Godoy, Silvina Ovelar and Mauricio Rey, as well as directors and teachers who accompanied the protagonists of this civic experience.

The projects that moved forward to be addressed in the Deliberative Council:
The acquisition of civic experience
Council member Emmanuel Godoy was in charge of inaugurating the day, highlighting that the program transcends mere participation to become an essential practical training. "With this delivery of certificates, we conclude an essential cycle of the Youth Deliberative Council. It is of utmost relevance for the institution to have witnessed the intense process you have gone through, where theory merged with practice. You have acquired a real vision of democratic debate and the complex legislative mechanics, something fundamental for your training as future actors in the civic life of Concordia."
Education, the true wealth of the Nation
When addressing the students, Lic. Magdalena Reta Urquiza highlighted the rigor and responsibility demonstrated by the young people, underlining that their performance in the proposed instances is a direct investment in the future of the community.
"From the Deliberative Council, we observe with deep satisfaction this learning process. It is a journey marked by rigor in the formulation of projects, the defense of your ideas and, fundamentally, the trajectory of invaluable learning, where one learns from achievements, but also from mistakes. I want to be categorical: the true prosperity of a nation does not reside in the mere exploitation of natural resources, be they lithium or oil. The wealth of a country is built on the culture and education of its citizens, on their capacity to undertake and progress”, she concluded.
The diploma delivery ceremony consolidated itself as the formal ratification of the commitment of the young council members to the democratic life of the city. The recognition not only celebrated the effort and dedication of the students to actively participate in the legislative instance, but was also a moment for institutional gratitude.
In a unanimous gesture, the President Lic. Magdalena Reta Urquiza and the council members Emmanuel Godoy, Silvina Ovelar and Mauricio Rey, extended their deep gratitude to the teachers and directors, highlighting their essential and irreplaceable role in the promotion and maintenance of this civic culture among the new generations of Concordia.
