The Board of Directors of the Concordia Carnival Entity, together with the local and provincial Carnival Queen, Yanella Aldecoa, paid an official visit to the city of Uruguaiana (Brazil), with the purpose of strengthening cultural, tourism, and institutional cooperation ties between both communities.
They were received by the Secretary of Tourism, the Secretary of Culture, and the local Carnival Commission, within the framework of a work agenda aimed at sharing experiences, knowledge, and strategies to strengthen the organization and projection of our carnivals and other related events, highlighting the good relationship that has existed for many years between members of both Carnivals.
During the meeting, topics related to tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and the possibility of developing joint initiatives that enhance both cities as relevant destinations in the international events calendar were addressed. Likewise, the importance of fostering regional integration was highlighted, understanding the carnival as an engine for economic, social, and cultural development.
From the Concordia Carnival Entity, the cordiality and openness of the Uruguaiana authorities were especially valued, underlining that these types of dialogue and cooperation instances are fundamental to consolidate a carnival with a binational projection, capable of transcending borders and strengthening the ties between Argentina and Brazil.
