The Municipality of Concordia reminds that the call for the “Youth in Climate Action Concordia 2026” Fund remains open until August 4, 2026, an international initiative promoted by Bloomberg Philanthropies together with United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
Concordia is one of the 300 cities in the world selected to be part of this program, which seeks to promote youth participation and finance environmental initiatives designed and led by young people from the city.
The fund will grant non-reimbursable subsidies of between 1,000 and 5,000 US dollars for projects that promote climate action, innovation, and community participation. Non-profit organizations with a presence in Concordia that present initiatives led by young people between 15 and 24 years old may apply.
Each project must be designed and executed by a team composed of at least three young people and have the support of a sponsoring or applicant organization.
Civil associations, foundations, school cooperatives, social and sports clubs, universities, and other community institutions may participate. Each organization may present up to three projects related to any of the following thematic axes: Renewable energy and energy efficiency; Education for climate action; Biodiversity, green infrastructure, and climate change adaptation; Sustainable waste management and circular economy.
As part of the selection process, the projects that are admitted will participate in mentoring and technical strengthening sessions before the final evaluation. In addition, one of the winning projects will be selected through an open, virtual, and participatory youth vote, in which young people between 15 and 24 years old may participate.
Registrations are open until August 4 and the winning projects will be announced on August 28, 2026. The execution of the initiatives will begin in September and will extend until March 2027.
Inquiries can be made via email at jovenesyaccionclimaconcordia@ gmail.com or at the Undersecretariat of Environment, located at Salta and Avenida Néstor Kirchner, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
