This Friday, the Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity (EDOS) replaced the electric pump of the borehole that supplies water to a sector of the San Juan and Gobernador Cresto neighborhoods. It had burned out, affecting the normal supply of the service. In addition, work was carried out at the Water Treatment Plant and in different neighborhoods of the city, solving problems that had arisen.
Given the improvement in weather conditions that allowed the EDOS crews to carry out various tasks, the electric pump of the drinking water well that supplies the San Juan and Gobernador Cresto neighborhoods was replaced, installing a new pump with a higher HP rating, which increases the flow of liters/hour at the wellhead.
At the same time, repair work was carried out on main pipes, sluice valves were installed, and several breakdowns that were causing water leaks were repaired in different parts of the city, taking advantage of the fact that weather conditions allowed for this outdoor work to be carried out.
"We took advantage of the fact that the weather allowed all EDOS personnel to advance on various pending tasks that the incessant rains did not allow to be carried out, and we will continue working over the weekend on the scheduled tasks while we attend to the emergency due to the river flooding, as ordered by the mayor Enrique Cresto," noted the EDOS comptroller, Juan José Grigolato, in this regard.
