This Tuesday, the Tenth Assembly of the Municipal Council for Older Adults was held, a space for institutional participation and coordination aimed at addressing the needs of the city's older adults.
The meeting included the participation of Juan Ramón Sansó de La Madrid, director of the Felipe Heras Hospital, who provided information on the appointment scheduling procedure for walk-in care at the hospital's Outpatient Clinics.
During the presentation, the operation of this procedure was addressed, which allows patients to request an in-person appointment and receive care on the same day, according to the availability of each specialty and the quotas established by the professionals.
The system includes the distribution of appointments starting at 6:15, patient guidance by an assistance agent, and the possibility of carrying out different procedures related to medical care during a single visit.
The presentation allowed for sharing information of interest to older adults and creating a space for dialogue on the importance of facilitating access to health services, especially for those who require medical check-ups and care in different specialties.
These meetings allow for strengthening the exchange between institutions and actors involved in work with older adults, providing relevant information, and contributing to the construction of responses to their needs.
The Municipality of Concordia continues to promote the operation of the Municipal Council for Older Adults as a sphere for participation, dialogue, and coordination to strengthen public policies aimed at this sector of the community.
