The Concordia Carnival 2026 experienced an extraordinary fifth night this Monday, February 16, at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo, with an impressive turnout of the public that once again filled the stands and enthusiastically accompanied a day marked by passion, brilliance, and a high artistic level.
In the context of the Carnival holiday, thousands of residents and tourists enjoyed a vibrant night, consolidating an edition that has been breaking attendance records and positioning the carnival as one of the main cultural and tourist attractions of the summer in Entre Ríos.
During the day, the event was attended by the Governor of Entre Ríos Rogelio Frigerio, who was accompanied by his family; Mayor Francisco Azcué; the Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Province, Fabián Boleas; the Secretary of Tourism of Entre Ríos and President of the Mixed Tourism Entity (EMTURER), Dr. Jorge Diego Satto; among other officials and institutional representatives.
The parade featured the passage of the comparsas Imperio, Ráfaga, Emperatriz, and Bella Samba, which offered proposals of great scenic quality, reaffirming the sustained growth of the show and the artistic commitment of each of the comparsas.
TOURISM, ECONOMY AND CULTURE
Governor Frigerio valued the impact of the event for the province in terms of tourism, stating that “we are very happy with this long weekend, which is a trend of what we have experienced these last few weekends, with significant occupancy rates, and we want this to continue growing. For us, it is important to promote popular festivals, which is why we support each municipality, as we are doing today in Concordia, because this generates tourism, economic movement, and in some cases, represents a culture from many years ago”.
Mayor Azcué thanked the governor and the provincial authorities for their presence, underlining that this is part “of joint actions that we have been carrying out since the beginning of the administration. This articulated work demonstrates that when there is planning and commitment, the results are seen and enjoyed. We are very proud of this carnival that represents us and this part of our identity”.
The Director of the Permanent Carnival Entity, Luis Sánchez, highlighted the result of the day and the joint work carried out: “We experienced a spectacular fifth night, with the corsódromo at full capacity and a public that once again accompanied us massively. This is the result of joint work between the Entity, the Municipality, the Province, and the comparsas, who understand the carnival as a collective construction and make it grow edition after edition”.
Looking ahead, the Permanent Carnival Entity reported that the last night of the Concordia Carnival 2026 will take place next Saturday, February 21, a day that will mark the grand closing of the 2026 edition.
PEQUEÑOS DUENDES
Likewise, the community is invited to meet again today, Tuesday, February 17, at 8:30 PM, at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo, to experience the second night of the Pequeños Duendes Carnival, a proposal full of magic, color, music, and the joy of childhood, which represents the seedbed and the future of this great popular festival.
The Concordia Carnival continues to establish itself as one of the main cultural, social, and tourist expressions of the city, generating economic movement, employment, and strengthening local identity, with an ever-increasing projection at a regional and national level.
