As has been done with other locations in the country, this Friday the Concordia carnival was presented at the provincial Secretariat of Tourism and Culture, an activity led by the mayor Enrique Cresto and the Secretary of Tourism and Culture of Entre Ríos, Carolina Gaillard.
Accompanying them were National Deputy Mayda Cresto and the president of Sidecreer, Eduardo Drovin, as well as the vice-mayor of Concordia Armando Gay, the Undersecretary of Tourism of the Municipality Miguel Guitar, and the Director of Tourism of our city, María de los Ángeles Todone.
The carnivals begin this Saturday, January 20, and continue on the 27th, followed by the Saturdays of February 3 and 10, Monday the 12th, and concluding on Saturday the 17th. The “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo, with a capacity for more than 10,000 people, contains a parade track that allows for the comfortable movement of the groups that bring this celebration of music, color, and joy to life through the display of the competing comparsas.
Thus appear Ráfaga, Emperatriz, Imperio, and Bella Samba, each with more than 200 members who, with their sparkle, choreography, and the sound of the batucadas, create a festive atmosphere that is felt throughout the city and is contagious to those who visit the city.
In this regard, mayor Enrique Cresto highlighted that "the Carnival has been growing and today it is an attraction inquired about by tourists." He also highlighted the joint work with the private sector and the support of the various government agencies, "with whom we are working together for the growth of the Carnival, but also for the tourism development of Concordia. The city has many important festivals; the idea is precisely to have events that mark and highlight Concordia in tourism from a cultural and sporting perspective," he noted, and affirmed that "the State must be present in that."
GET TO KNOW THE CARNIVALS
For her part, Carolina Gaillard stated that “we are working hard to support from the province each of the 16 municipalities of the Uruguay coast, the Paraná coast, and the Gualeguay corridor to continue growing in tourism and positioning our products. Entre Ríos has beaches, hot springs, carnival, but we also have popular festivals and the best carnivals in the country, each with its own particularity.”
“Today we are presenting the Concordia carnival, which has been growing year after year. It is a show that one must go to see, go to discover. From the provincial government, we want the people of Entre Ríos and all the tourists who visit us to travel the carnival route and get to know each one, because behind them there is a people, there are values and their idiosyncrasy, which is what gives each carnival its particularity and identity,” the official maintained.
