The Secretariat of Health of the Municipality of Concordia has incorporated an ultrasound scanner into the Municipal Comprehensive Health Emergency Service (SIMES), which will be used in the pre-hospital setting, strengthening the health system's response capacity in emergency and trauma situations.
The Secretary of Health, Diego Sauré, pointed out that “this tool will be used in the pre-hospital environment, especially in trauma, at the patient's side, being very useful before the patient arrives at the hospital”.
The ultrasound scanner will allow for more dynamic patient monitoring, “in a non-invasive manner and to perform diagnoses at the scene, which improves decision-making during initial care”.
“We are very happy to equip the health system with this tool. These actions are possible thanks to the fiscal responsibility of the taxpayers, which allows us to channel those resources into more and better care, in this case, in the field of health,” stated Sauré.
