Mayor Enrique Cresto received in his office Marisa Paira, president of the Provincial Council for Children, Adolescents and the Family (COPNAF), and the Departmental Coordinator of COPNAF, Fernando Rougier. The meeting served to strengthen the ties between the Municipality and the Province, always coordinating actions and working through agreements with the clear objective of generating policies that favor and directly benefit children, young people and Concordia families in general.
At the end of the meeting, Paira pointed out that they discussed the Family Strengthening Program and also “the decentralization of childhood policies,” announcing that agreements will soon be signed to strengthen the care of children up to four years old, “which is a priority for Governor Bordet, and Mayor Cresto understands it that way as well,” indicated the provincial official.
“It is very gratifying to see the work that has been carried out in Concordia,” highlighted Paira, who added that “work in the territory is fundamental and the truth is that we have been able to agree on lines of work that cover various aspects.”
For his part, Rougier agreed on the importance of this type of meeting, as they allow for the generation of actions in the field and the consolidation of direct management between the two governments. “Although we at COPNAF have been working with the different Secretariats of the Mayor's Office, the idea is to strengthen what has been done and generate new commitments” for the city of Concordia, he remarked.
