The Permanent Carnival Entity, together with the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Concordia, carried out a Comprehensive Health Day aimed at carnival troupe members, within the framework of the preparations for the 2026 Carnival.
The activity took place on December 15 and 16, where more than 700 members of the city's various carnival troupes accessed physical fitness check-ups, a voluntary STI testing stand, and vaccination checks, strengthening the comprehensive health care of those who are part of this popular festival.
The president of the Permanent Carnival Entity, Luis Sánchez, highlighted the importance of the day and the response obtained: “We had a very significant participation, with more than 700 troupe members who came to have their check-ups. This demonstrates the commitment of each performer to their health and to the Carnival.”
Likewise, Sánchez remarked on the value of the articulated work between municipal areas: “These days are fundamental to guarantee a safe and well-cared-for Carnival. The joint work with the Health Secretariat and the Municipality allows us to support the troupes not only from an artistic perspective, but also through prevention and well-being.”
Finally, the head of the Entity pointed out that these types of actions will continue to be carried out: “Our goal is to continue strengthening the Concordia Carnival, taking care of those who make it possible and consolidating an increasingly organized, responsible, and inclusive festival.”
The Comprehensive Health Day is part of a sustained policy of support for the carnival troupes, reaffirming the municipal government's commitment to one of the city's most representative cultural expressions.
