Last Tuesday, the Annual Provincial Lifeguard Revalidation took place in Concordia, a fundamental step that allows for the certification of professionals who will be authorized to work during the upcoming summer season throughout the province.
More than 120 lifeguards participated in the event, organized into different groups to ensure better coordination and evaluation. The practical tests were held at the Salto Grande Club pools, while the theoretical sessions took place at the Concordia Convention Center.
This annual evaluation ensures that all spaces authorized during the summer—both public and private—have trained and certified personnel, thus guaranteeing the safety of residents and tourists who enjoy the region's aquatic spaces.
The activity was coordinated by Julio Pintos, head of the Lifeguard Service of the Concordia Health Secretariat, and Martín Amden, Director of Federated Sports, Training, and Evaluation of the Entre Ríos Sports Secretariat.*
In this context, Julio Pintos highlighted that "this year there were more than 120 lifeguards, which ensures that all authorized spaces, such as public beaches and private pools, have duly certified personnel prepared to respond to any emergency situation during the upcoming summer season.”
For his part, Martín Amden valued the joint work between the organizing institutions and stressed that "it is clear how well things were done in an exemplary manner, with committed professionals and a great drive to train. We want to congratulate everyone who was in charge of the organization and logistics of this revalidation.”
Finally, the provincial official added that "this is the first revalidation we have carried out this year. We will continue with the sessions in Colón and then in Paraná. We are working to reach all points of the province and ensure that lifeguards can exercise their labor rights under adequate conditions.”
