Mayor Enrique Cresto received a request from Carnival leaders to prioritize the construction of the warehouses where the floats that parade each night in January and February are built and subsequently stored. Given this proposal and request, the Mayor and the Carnival Entity decided to promote the construction of the warehouses for each of the participating Comparsas, with the objective of continuing to improve the conditions and comforts in which the greatest popular summer festival is created.
In a note addressed to the Municipal Executive, Carnival leaders of Concordia request that the order of the works projected on the Corsódromo premises be reconsidered. "We know that among your projects was the construction of the stands, which although important, do not represent the urgency of the prompt construction of the warehouses for each of the Comparsas," it is pointed out in the submitted note.
For this reason, and attending to the proposal and request made by the Carnival leaders of Concordia, the decision was made to carry out for the 2019 edition the conditioning, improvement, and construction of the warehouses and restrooms, which in the current context of economic contraction will also represent aid to each institution, continuing in subsequent stages with the rest of the planned works, such as the total enclosure of the premises, internal LED lighting, and the construction of the stands.
This will represent a benefit for those who "from sacrifice and passion, make the greatest festival of our city," the carnival leaders subscribe. Meaning for each group a better use and conservation of the invested resources, in addition to better organization for each one, allowing them to continue growing in quality as they have been demonstrating year after year on the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" track.
