The Coordination of Neighborhood Workshops and Cultural Events of the Municipality informs that registration for participation in the 2020 edition of the Pequeños Duendes Carnival is open until Friday, August 30. Already formed carnival groups, or neighborhood commissions, social organizations, and neighborhood associations that wish to form a children's carnival group to participate in the popular carnival, may register at the Coordination offices, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the first floor of the former Estación Norte building (Gobernador Cresto and San Lorenzo; above the Radio Ciudadana studios).
There, one may inquire about the participation modality, requirements, receive advice, and other information. It is reminded that the end of August is the final date for the registration of the carnival group, after which the periods for the submission of folders and designs, list of participants, etc., will begin. You can also consult via Facebook at "Coordinación de Eventos Culturales y Talleres Barriales".
The Pequeños Duendes Carnival is a participatory and popular carnival promoted by the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, in which the protagonists are the children, organized by the Municipality together with the Conased Foundation and the Becario Institute, which creates spaces for inclusion and training, and for this reason, it is considered the "nursery of the Concordia carnival". During the months of January and February, free parades are held in different neighborhoods of the city, being an attraction for the whole family.
