While participating in the inauguration of the synthetic hockey field at Club Salto Grande, the mayor Enrique Cresto highlighted the role that sports play in his administration, as it, in any of its disciplines, keeps society away from scourges and brings it closer to a better quality of life.
“This is achieved when there is teamwork,” remarked the Mayor, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Sports Marcelo Cresto. “When we set aside political issues and we all wear the Concordia jersey, the city grows because it is a way of working that opens all doors for us at both the provincial and national levels.”
Sports “are essential in our administration, which is why we congratulate all the institutions that work to grow in infrastructure, because it allows us to transform ourselves into a society that moves away from scourges and positions us as a city capable of hosting any competition of the highest levels”.
That is why “we always tell all sports entities to request dates for the different championships at different levels, because on our side they will receive all the necessary support, as it is something that benefits us all,” as was the case with the South American Athletics Championship that took place in Concordia last November, obtaining very good repercussions.
Finally, the mayor congratulated “the leadership and players of Club Salto Grande for these new facilities that allow Concordia to be placed at the top of Argentine hockey, due to the quality of its athletes but also that of its fields.”
Present at the inauguration were authorities from the Argentine Hockey Confederation; the Secretary of Sports of the Province José Gómez; the president of the Argentine delegation of the Mixed Technical Commission of Salto Grande Roberto Niez, together with the president of Club Salto Grande Tomás Ruiz Díaz, members of the Board of Directors, and hockey players, among others.
