Organized by the Adventist Church of Concordia and supported by the Municipal Health Secretariat, two primary care sessions were held in the northern area of the city.
The initiative was attended by a group of professionals from the Sanatorio Adventista del Plata and doctors from the United States, who offered their general and specialized medical expertise. Residents accessed medical consultations, ultrasound and cardiology studies, and a community pharmacy where medications were provided at no cost.
The Concordia Health Secretariat participated with its various teams, including the Immunization, Nursing, STI, Outreach, and medical professional departments, who performed blood pressure, weight, height, and blood glucose checks; rapid HIV and syphilis tests; and completed national vaccination schedule requirements.
Mayor Francisco Azcué, who accompanied the event, highlighted the “generosity of the Adventist Church, for their solidarity, for all this work they carried out, and for bringing professionals from the United States, assisting the sectors that need it most; therefore, we are grateful that they have come to our city.”
For his part, the Director of the Sanatorio Adventista del Plata (SAP), Haroldo Steger, noted that “it is a privilege to be here and provide relief to people. We know that everything one can do is always insufficient since there are many needs, but for each person who can be attended to, it is a smile, it changes their day.”
The approach was supported by the Director of Primary Health Care, Karina Greco; the Director of Medical Specialties, Yamina Román; and the Head of the Department of Worship, Andrea Casco.
