Within the framework of the Vaccination Week in the Americas 2025, this Friday, April 25, the Vaccination Day for Older Adults was held with a large turnout, organized by the Department of Policies for the Elderly in coordination with the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Concordia.
The activity took place in the Labor Training Room of the Civic Center, where flu vaccines were administered to those over 65 years of age, as well as tetanus and hepatitis B vaccines in accordance with the established schedule.
The day was coordinated by the Nursing Graduate, Melina Simonetti, representative of the Municipal Epidemiological Node for Immunizations, who valued the development of the initiative: “These preventive actions are fundamental for the health of our older adults. Vaccination not only protects, but also raises awareness about self-care and the importance of prevention.”
For her part, Gladys Portugal, head of the Department of Policies for the Elderly, thanked the health team for their commitment and the participation of the residents: “From the municipality, we work continuously to create spaces that promote the health and comprehensive well-being of our older adults. This day was a clear example of that, with great participation and very good organization.”
The activity was carried out with personalized attention and advice, reaffirming the local government's commitment to health care and support for the elderly.
