The Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture of the Municipality of Concordia, invites the entire community to participate in a special day this Sunday, May 18, in commemoration of the Day of the Escarapela, one of the most representative symbols of our national identity.
The activity will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the gazebo in Plaza 25 de Mayo, and will feature a program designed to be shared with family and to highlight our cultural roots.
During the afternoon, there will be an open Folklore and Tango class, led by teachers Juliana Oyarbide, Ivana Piñol, and Daniel Bogado, designed so that residents of all ages can participate. The Children's Folklore Ballet of the San Antonio Cultural Center will also perform, under the direction of teacher Paola Marianella Garay, and there will be a special appearance by artists Pablo Kauffmann and Marcelo Salvador, who will provide their music in the open air.
In addition, escarapelas will be given away as a way to pay tribute to this patriotic emblem that unites us as Argentines.
In this regard, the Undersecretary of Education and Culture, Prof. Carlos Gatto, stated: “We invite the entire community to experience this moment of encounter with our traditions together. We want every resident to be able to take an escarapela to their heart and the emotion of sharing our dances, our music, and our symbols.”
Under the administration of Mayor Dr. Francisco Azcué, cultural work in public spaces continues to be strengthened, promoting free activities that highlight our identity and bring artistic proposals to every corner of the city.
