The Municipality of Concordia is carrying out an intensive task to remove abandoned vehicles from public roads, applying the "Decontamination and Compaction Regime" ordinance.
The Transit Center, under the municipal Government Secretariat, specified that work is being carried out based on complaints made by residents, while territorial surveys are being conducted by zone.
In the first instance, according to Ordinance No. 35410/2014 "Decontamination and Compaction Regime", a report is drawn up recording the state of the unit and a sticker is placed in a visible area of the vehicle in order to notify and urge the interested party to remove the unit within a period of five (5) consecutive days under penalty of seizure and subsequent decontamination and compaction.
The complete ordinance can be consulted in the Digest on the official website of the Municipality: http://www.egob.concordia.gob.
This measure seeks to comply with one of the pillars of the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, to have cleaner and more orderly streets in the city, as well as safer ones, given that in many cases abandoned vehicles become scrap metal, turning into sources of infection as well as places conducive to criminal acts.
