What are they?
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
WEEE are all those devices that no longer work or have become obsolete: computers, cell phones, appliances, cables, among others. This waste contains components that can be toxic to the environment if not managed properly, but also valuable materials that can be recovered.
Why is it important to recycle WEEE?
You prevent the release of toxic substances into the soil or water.
You contribute to the circular economy by recovering useful metals and components.
You reduce the volume of waste sent to the sanitary landfill.
You protect the health and environment of the whole community.
