Concert: The Night of the Suites

San Salvador String Camerata at Magma.

Next Saturday, July 5th at 9:00 PM, the San Salvador String Camerata returns to perform at Fundación Magma, this time with a new program that proposes a dialogue between two great orchestral suites: J.S. Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 and Edvard Grieg's Holberg Suite.

◆ Although separated by more than a century, both works share a common spirit: a taste for form, dance, and clarity, in a celebration of past musical tradition recreated from new perspectives. One written in the height of the Baroque period, the other as a neoclassical homage in the 21st century, both invite us to rediscover the elegance of the ancient style through the warm sound of the string orchestra.

◆ The Camerata is composed of professors from the San Salvador Municipal Orchestra and advanced string students from said organization.
