“Canción de Barrio” Documentary

“Canción de Barrio”, a documentary by Silvio Rodríguez, will be screened with the presence of its director in Concordia.

Alejandro Ramírez Anderson (Cuba) will host the film screening and debate of the audiovisual work he created alongside the renowned musician and social activist Silvio Rodríguez.

This Sunday, September 22nd, starting at 6:00 PM, the documentary “Canción de Barrio” will be screened, which narrates the tour that the world-renowned singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez carried out through the humblest neighborhoods of Cuba over two years. The director, Alejandro Ramírez Anderson, will be present that same afternoon.

This event is held within the framework of the inauguration of the agroecological school headquarters in Concordia (1984 Belgrano St., opposite the entrance to San Carlos), promoted by the NGO “Luz del Ibirá”.

 

Renowned local artists such as Diego Bertoni and Martín Messina, Emma Rousset, and Rodrigo Cañete will also be performing and sharing their songs live.

There will be a fair of agroecological and artisanal products representative of the area, and an auction will be held for a painting specially created by the visual artist Carlos Cordaro.
