Flor de Fango Show in Pueblo

“Flor de Fango” - On Friday, September 27th at 10:00 PM, the orchestra “Flor de Fango” will perform at “Pueblo Viejo”, featuring María Esperanza Arigós (piano), Laura Gouin (violin), Francisco Ferreira (bandoneon), and Gastón Barbieri (bandoneon-director).

“Flor de Fango” emerged in 2017 in the city of Concordia as a pedagogical initiative aimed at fostering specific knowledge of the genre, its characteristics, articulations, and its different structures.

This project is nourished by research into the history of Tango and by playing the original arrangements of the orchestras of the Guardia Vieja, the Guardia Nueva, and Contemporary Tango. Learning also from musicians from Concordia who were participants of that era, and who remain active today such as Santos Maggi (Bandoneonist) and Marcelo Salvador (Bandoneonist), which enables the transmission of the cultural and musical legacy of the genre in our region.

Musically, it is composed of elements whose aesthetic dimension is characterized by the special use of sound parameters, thus configuring a style. In addition, another semiotic dimension, where musical traits would be joined with abstract, emotional, or extra-musical meanings.
