In DEATH IN CONCORDIA a woman is on the banks of the Uruguay River. Her life reached this point in a torment of places where she should have arrived. However, she chooses to remain seated. The heat is stifling, the voices inside her head begin to appear.
‘There is no silence. There are always voices’, says the Irish writer Claire Keegan. Voices even when there is no one, our own, that of thoughts, that of the dead, that of childhood, voices that appear and we do not even know who they are, voices that judge us, voices that lull us, voices that revive moments, that bring them back. We are sounds. The voice of someone who is no longer here, our tone of voice in the world, which synthesizes the available frequencies in a unique way’
