This is an active prevention day open to the entire community, where blood pressure, blood glucose, and weight are measured to prevent non-communicable and often silent diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, or overweight. A medical interview is also conducted to learn more about each person's habits and provide recommendations on healthy eating, physical activity, and sleep quality.
In this way, within the framework of the health policies promoted by the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, work is being done strongly on awareness, prevention, and control, bringing medical care closer to all citizens. Understanding that it is essential to promote these initiatives with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the importance of leading a healthier life.
In this regard, the Secretary of Health, Mauro García, stated that “we have decided to take this approach by performing check-ups on those who, for various reasons, have not had access to the health system lately and want to have routine weight and height, body mass index, and blood glucose and blood pressure checks. Then, those who wish to do so may have an assessment by a professional”. The “entire medical and nursing team of the Health Secretariat and the nursing students from UADER” participated in the day.
To complement, “the vaccination tent also participated, where the COVID vaccine and the adult calendar vaccine were administered, and each patient's records were kept. It is a way of bringing all public health policies closer by coordinating with the private sector and providing all the resources we have for the residents of Concordia who need them most,” added García.
THE SUPPORT OF THE DELIBERATIVE COUNCIL

The first vice president, Claudia Villalba, stated that “these days were held in different cities of the Argentine Republic, in the most important cities, and precisely this time Concordia was chosen. That is why I want to thank the entire body because this declaration was voted unanimously”.
“The Honorable Deliberative Council always has its doors open for these important actions for the citizens of Concordia, and especially what has to do with the prevention of these diseases, healthy living, and good nutrition have a lot to do with it, and health is about that, about preventing diseases,” added Villalba.
