The initiative promoted by the Undersecretariat of Tourism and EMCONTUR involved the participation of personnel from the Metered Parking service. It was developed over two theoretical-practical sessions aimed at strengthening their role as primary tourist informants on public roads.
On the eve of the summer season, the Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Tourism and the Mixed Concordiense Tourism Board (EMCONTUR), carried out the training program “Concordia, host city”, taught by tour guide Julia Niez, which was aimed at Metered Parking personnel.
The proposal recognized the strategic value of these agents as a point of direct and daily contact with those visiting the city center. Throughout two meetings, attendees acquired guidelines and tools to provide excellent service: precise information, kindness, responsiveness, and willingness, understanding that the tourist's experience is built from the very first moment on public roads.
During the sessions, the main attractions and circuits of the city were reviewed in detail, highlighting the heritage and local identity through the Castillo San Carlos, El Naranjal de Pereda and its guided tours, urban architecture, museums, and regional gastronomy, with products such as wines, pecans, blueberries, citrus, and honey. Likewise, nature and relaxation proposals were addressed, including thermal complexes, the dam and the hydroelectric complex of Salto Grande, along with adventure and nautical alternatives on the lake, through the experiences offered by Lago Aventura and Turismo Las Palmas.
As a closing to the program, the participants took a trip on the Tourist Bus through the downtown area and the emblematic Parque San Carlos, experiencing the route firsthand in order to guide visitors on the street with precision and warmth.
With this comprehensive training, the Undersecretariat of Tourism and EMCONTUR reinforce the preparation of their municipal workers for the summer season, consolidating themselves as a safe, informed, and hospitable destination.
