This morning, at the local headquarters of the National Technological University (UTN), Mayor Francisco Azcué participated in the opening ceremony of the 22nd edition of the Career Fair under the slogan “I study in Concordia”.
With the participation of more than 20 institutions and an extensive schedule of talks and activities, the exhibition presents the academic offer of the city and the region on June 25 and 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Emphasizing education as a tool for transformation, Azcué highlighted the academic offer that Concordia has thanks to the presence of “Universities of enormous prestige and trajectory, which is why it is important that students can access all the necessary information to decide their future”.
In that sense, he urged them not to give up when they go through moments of adversity because once the goal is reached, they will have the satisfaction of having traveled a path that led them to finish the degree they chose.
Regarding the fair space itself, Azcué highlighted the importance of inter-institutional work “because when working together, the results are always good. From our administration, we have been doing it this way, with agreements and conventions with different Faculties and educational institutions so that opportunities in our city are ever greater”.
THE PATH TOWARDS THE FUTURE
The Departmental Director of Schools, Julio Barrios, stressed that the exhibition is “a great advance for education, in continuous work that has to do with narrowing the gap between secondary education, the university, and higher education,” adding that current times demand “that new generations must be continuously training”.
The academic secretary of the UTN, Fabián Andrés Avid, after recalling that in this 2025 they are celebrating 40 years as a University, thanked the collaboration of all those who made this fair possible, inviting the entire community to come and be part of it.
Finally, the vice-dean of the Faculty of Food Sciences (UNER), Luz Marina Zapata, addressing the students, celebrated that “today our city is filled with the future with your presence” and pointed out that “the Career Fair is the starting point for you to begin to chart the path of your professional future”.
Council members, representatives of the different participating institutions, and students from the city were present.
