Mayor Francisco Azcué participated this Thursday morning in the ceremony for the 191st anniversary of the creation of the Entre Ríos Police. It took place at the Concordia Departmental Headquarters and was led by the Chief, Commissioner Inspector José María Rosatelli.
In his remarks, Azcué, after greeting the members of the force, recalled that “I have had the honor of working with the Entre Ríos Police when I was a prosecutor, which is why I know the vocation of service, love, and patriotism they possess,” adding that when working for the care of our residents, it is essential to do so jointly, beyond the responsibilities and jurisdictions of each one.
“The instruction from our governor Rogelio Frigerio goes in that direction, to work together with our agents and officials; to take care of those who take care of us, that has been the message he has given us. This will mean that our city will be increasingly orderly and with greater security,” affirmed Azcué.
For his part, Rosatelli maintained that these 191 years they are celebrating must be valued, stating that “we are always evolving and fulfilling the purpose for which we were created, which is to establish order. I thank all the mayors and members of other forces for participating and working together with us.”
During the ceremony, representatives of the Circle of Retired Officers of the Entre Ríos Police and senior personnel in retirement status, who dedicated their careers to the service of the community, were highlighted. Their presence underscored the commitment to the values and spirit of the institution.
In addition, Mrs. Elba Harispe, great-granddaughter of the city's first Police Chief, First Line Sergeant Major Crisóstomo Gómez, whose work was fundamental in the beginnings of the force, was present.
The event was attended by the Secretary of Government Luciano Dell´Olio; the Undersecretary of Citizen Security Claudio Purgart; the Deputy Chief of the Concordia Department, Commissioner Inspector Liliana Miño; Mayors of the Concordia department; Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs of different divisions; Malvinas Veterans; representatives of the Armed Forces and Security forces; and family members.
