During this Friday morning, the mayor Francisco Azcué toured the facilities of the “San Benito” Inn, in the northern area of the city. Its owners, Mariela Pedroni and Fernando Rodríguez Nonino, who are in the middle of a construction process and investing in building improvements, highlighted the dialogue with the current administration, always with the common goal of positioning the city.
After touring the place, together with the Undersecretary of Tourism Laureano Schvartzman, Azcué highlighted that one of the pillars of his administration is productive development and tourism is one of those tools. “That is why we are here today, as public servants, accompanying those who decide to undertake and take risks; the private sector, which is the engine of development and a generator of genuine employment.”
Following that line, he stated that “one can see a lot of effort, a lot of dedication, work, and we believe that this is what will lift our city, as in this case with tourism, which is very important for Concordia.”
THE STATE AS A FACILITATOR
For his part, Schvartzman pointed out that, as in the case of this inn, “there are several people who believe in the city, who bet on it, who work and sacrifice themselves through action, with investment projects, and our role, as the State, is to be facilitators, collaborating in whatever we can from our position, working together.”
Therefore, “for us, by coming and chatting with them, we get to know their reality and projection,” adding that the owners of the “San Benito” Inn are currently carrying out the homologation procedure to be able to become a hotel, a matter that is being managed with the Government of Entre Ríos, specifically through the Secretariat of Tourism.
ACCOMPANYING THE GROWTH OF CONCORDIA
Finally, Rodríguez Nonino thanked the Mayor and the Undersecretary for their visit, with whom they were able to discuss various points related to the activity. “We are going little by little, advancing with this work but always seeking to accompany the growth of Concordia and promoting our destination, from the place that corresponds to us.”
