This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué was in the city of Salto, Oriental Republic of Uruguay, where he held a meeting with Mayor Carlos Albisu, an opportunity in which they began to outline a binational agenda with the commitment to work together on various issues that unite both cities.
In this regard, Azcué remarked that one of the pillars of the administration is to boost regional development and, in that sense, Salto and Concordia must strengthen government actions related to tourism, production, and culture.
“To do this, we must form a binational agenda with topics that will surely strengthen us. This is our commitment as sister cities,” stated the Mayor of Concordia.
For his part, Albisu stated that “we are not only united by the Uruguay River, but we are seeing both cities as a whole. We are going to work on many projects, and this is the first of many meetings that we will have from now on.”
Authorities linked to the Culture and Education areas of both mayoralties took part in the meeting.
