With 72% hotel occupancy, Concordia reaffirmed its position as a leading destination in the Litoral region during the last long weekend. In line with this result, a technical and mass promotion agenda was carried out at the 49th National Surubí Festival (Corrientes) and the 75th ARAV Workshop (Rosario). The goal is clear: to strengthen the destination's identity, consolidate ties with sector operators, and ensure tourist movement throughout the year.
According to data collected by the Tourism Observatory of the Undersecretariat of Tourism, between April 30 and May 3, Concordia reaffirmed its national and international appeal. The flow of visitors was led by the Province of Buenos Aires (67%), CABA (17%), and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay (16%). With a profile fully oriented toward leisure and recreation, tourist movement injected $618,547,500 into the local economy, with an average expenditure of $92,500 per person.
This success responds to the effectiveness of social media strategies (60%) and a solid 40% who chose the city again, reflecting the high satisfaction of those who return to the city.
RECREATIONAL PROPOSALS AND MAJOR EVENTS
The weekend agenda combined natural spaces, historical sites, and sporting events. The TC2000 at the local racetrack was one of the main drivers of movement, attracting visitors from all over the country.
Regarding historical heritage, the Naranjal de Pereda and the Castillo San Carlos reaffirmed their magnetism, where guided tours and activities such as meditation meetings and butterfly watching were held, diversifying the offer of this icon with experiences linked to nature.
Added to this were innovative experiences such as 'Night Architecture', a tour with flashlights that allowed for the rediscovery of the urban legacy from a unique perspective.
STRATEGIC TOURISM PROMOTION ACTIONS
With a strong focus on destination positioning, the city had a presence at the 49th National Surubí Festival, promoting local attractions to a mass audience. This action is complemented by participation in the 75th ARAV Workshop, which was held in conjunction with the Hotel and Gastronomic Association of Concordia, where ties were strengthened with key operators to strategically position the hot springs, cultural wealth, and regional wine tourism.
From the Undersecretariat of Tourism and EMCONTUR (Mixed Tourism Entity of Concordia), they highlighted that these actions are part of a sustained strategy to position Concordia in strategic markets and strengthen tourism development throughout the year.
