No. 10.317
SEEN:
The “XXIX INTER-AMERICAN DANCE COMPETITION” to be held on November 8 and 9 in the city of Concordia, and;
CONSIDERING:
That this competition is organized by the Inter-American Dance Confederation (C.I.A.D), which is a movement of workers who dignify the profession of art and the expression of movement;
That for 29 years it has been coordinated by the Teresita Miñones Institute, with 72 years of history and the only one with official recognition by SNEP in the interior of the country, and Orange Jazz;
That in 1984 the first National meeting was held, which served as the basis for future international competitions;
That in 1997 the First Inter-American Meeting was held, and from then on, year after year, it continued to summon dancers and dance schools from all over the country and abroad;
That in 1998 it was held at the Odeón Theater, awarding the Program where the entire board of directors of ALAD, an organization prior to CIAD, was formed, an event that was fully sponsored by the Municipal Directorate of Culture;
That it continues to this day, having seen the participation of countries such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, etc.;
That this event, with a long history, boosts tourism since, on average, during the two days of the meeting, it has mobilized more than 50 delegations of dance institutes from the area, province, and neighboring countries, which demand accommodation, food, and visits to thermal springs, generating significant economic income for the city;
That this year the payment of tickets is intended for jury expenses for the evaluation of participants, rental of the event venue, lighting, sound, prizes, and a percentage for the SIAD, insurance, security, ambulance, gifts for the participating delegations, with the intention of motivating them to return, etc.; with the ticket (usually notification bracelets) being valid for both days and at all times;
That on PAGE 4 of the reference administrative case file, the General Directorate of Revenue suggests exempting the event tickets from duties and highlights that although it is two days (11/08 and 11/09), entry is with the payment of a bracelet that enables entry for the entire competition;
That likewise, the importance of this type of event generates economic income for the city.
Therefore:
THE DELIBERATIVE COUNCIL OF Concordia
