The Undersecretariat of Health of the Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Bromatology, in its role of preserving the health of the population, recommends taking into account the following tips to avoid possible foodborne diseases:
High-risk foods (perishable products, prepared foods, and leftovers thereof) must not remain at room temperature; they must be refrigerated or frozen quickly.
Ensure that food is cooked correctly, so that its temperature reaches at least 70 ºC at all points for 2 minutes. This temperature destroys the bacteria that cause foodborne illnesses.
Reheat cooked food thoroughly, until its interior reaches 70 °C for 2 minutes.
Never thaw food at room temperature; do so in the refrigerator or using the microwave.
Refrigerate foods that state on their label "keep refrigerated" or "refrigerate after opening."
Important: in case of any doubt regarding foodborne illnesses (ETAS), as well as in the event of detecting anomalies in food, contact the telephone number 345-4291516, or go in person to the Bromatology Directorate, located at 225 Roque Sáenz Peña St., 2nd Floor.
