Luis Sánchez, President of the Permanent Carnival Entity, highlighted that “the methodology of selling tickets in stages has paid off and has far exceeded our expectations.”
The President of the Permanent Carnival Entity, Luis Sánchez, provided details on the preparations prior to the first night of Carnival and the ticket sales for what will be the last two nights, as well as the assembly of the stands that began last Tuesday.
Regarding the latter, he highlighted that “the installation of the stands continues. It was an issue that had us a bit worried about the timing because we are 17 days away from the start of the popular festival, but we are already underway.”.
Regarding ticket sales, he acknowledged that “the methodology of doing it in stages has paid off and our expectations have been far exceeded. The reality is that a full Corsódromo is expected, as reflected in the ticket sales we are having for the first four nights,” adding that there are still places available for those dates.
Regarding sales for the final nights, Sánchez stated that “this week they will be available for nights one, two, three, and four; and, starting Friday, we will surely launch the sale of tickets for the remaining ones. Regarding the month of January, with a date to be confirmed, they will be put on sale in person at Caja Mixta. The methodology of in-person sales on the nights of the carnival itself will continue to be respected with a slight increase, but with the same mechanism that had been used in previous tenders, with the exception that tables can be purchased one per person and the division by sales stages.”
START OF THE CARNIVAL
In this regard, Sánchez confirmed that the first moon of the carnival will be Saturday, January 20, while the end of the edition is stipulated for February 17. “Of course, everything is subject to favorable weather conditions,” the official added.
For tourists interested in experiencing a night of carnival, the recommendation is to enter the official website, which will have access exclusively for people from outside, that is, non-residents of Concordia. "That will be respected this year and from now on regarding tourism itself. To those people who perhaps are not from Concordia and who have had the possibility of experiencing the carnivals but have not been treated in the best way during the night, what I request is that they come back to the city, because in these carnivals and from now on, the tourist will be treated as they truly deserve, since the intention is to attract more and more people from outside so that they can experience something as unique as this popular festival,” he emphasized.
