This Friday, the training course for home and/or multipurpose caregivers, “Comprehensive protection of rights and care tasks for children and adolescents,” began within the framework of an agreement between the Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture, and the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences of UADER.
With more than 80 people registered, the proposal seeks to provide theoretical and practical tools aimed at those who work or wish to work in care and accompaniment tasks in family or institutional contexts.
The opening was held with the presence of the Secretary of Human Development, Eng. Sebastián Arístide, the Undersecretary of Education and Culture, Prof. Carlos Gatto, the Coordinator of the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences, Concordia branch, Melina Cabrera, and the course coordinator, Mg. Vanesa Farigio.
The Secretary of Human Development, Sebastián Arístide, stressed that “these types of initiatives are fundamental to strengthen the social fabric. We are convinced that the State must be present not only through assistance, but also through the generation of opportunities to improve people's quality of life.”
“The care of our children and adolescents implies an enormous responsibility, and we believe that only with training, commitment, and institutional support can truly transformative processes be achieved,” pointed out Carlos Gatto, who also highlighted “the importance of sustaining public policies that bring real training and labor inclusion proposals to residents.”
The course will be developed through different in-person and virtual meetings, and includes practical and evaluative instances. It is framed within the articulated work carried out by the current municipal administration led by the Mayor Francisco Azcué, betting on a Concordia with more opportunities, equity, and professional training.
