With the presence of Mayor Francisco Azcué, the workshops of the Professional Training Program began, promoted by the Undersecretariat of Education of the Municipality of Concordia, in joint work with the 6th “Blandengues” Tank Cavalry Regiment.
“Education is a tool for transformation. We must study and train ourselves. Young people have this opportunity to enter the labor market through these workshops. For us, articulated work among different institutions is very important,” stated Mayor Azcué.
After valuing the role that the Regiment plays in Concordia and thanking them for this task they carry out in our community, Azcué addressed the new students, stating that “you have the opportunity to train, study, and gain skills here, and you must value it because you have great instructors.”
The Undersecretary of Education, Carlos Gatto, reported that there are four workshops that will be developed: carpentry, care of sport horses, tailoring, and painting. He also added that classes will be held in person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the Regiment's facilities, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Finally, Gatto reported that registration is still open. Those interested should go to the Undersecretariat of Education headquarters, located at 26 Avellaneda Street, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
For his part, the head of the 6th “Blandengues” Tank Cavalry Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Andrés Camarino, stated: “We are enthusiastic and willing, as every year we begin this task, making all our personnel and resources available so that on this occasion we can continue collaborating and thus be able to provide the necessary tools to the students.”

They link different resources that the State has in the implementation of four trades in the building facilities of the 6th “Blandengues” Tank Cavalry Regiment, and their horizon is for young people and adults to acquire adequate knowledge based on the objectives of the training trajectory of labor circuits.
Students will find a learning space in the Regiment's facilities, where they will carry out their professional aspirations and the importance of practicing everything learned with their evaluations in different instances, which favors the strengthening of the acquired knowledge and a notable work experience for their realization in the labor field.
Accompanying the start of the workshops were Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza; the Departmental Director of Schools Julio Barrios; Councilwoman Claudia Villalba; members of the Malvinas War Veterans Center, and the general public.
