Within the framework of the Covid-19 vaccination plan carried out by the Masvernat Hospital, the Provincial Ministry of Health, and the Municipality of Concordia, a significant sector of residents has been completed, reaching all older adults who are institutionalized in nursing homes, asylums, and geriatric facilities, as well as their staff.
Workers from the Secretariat of Health and Sport, coordinated by Dr. Mauro García, administered a total of 523 doses in 26 residences, who, with words of gratitude to everyone in the health sector, said, “it is something that I have been instilling in the people who are working, that you have to like it, the truth is that this is a job that if you don't like it you cannot do it, because you need a special sensitivity to come and accompany, there are people who not only need the vaccine, they need support, a word of encouragement, and you have to be on-site, make the decision on the spot whether they get vaccinated or not, especially this type of patient who are the most complex, they are the ones who are institutionalized in these residences and although they have an endorsement from the local doctors, we have to check the forms and if at the time of the vaccine administration they are having any difficulty, they cannot be vaccinated, and that check is done in the field, so words of gratitude to the Mayor Alfredo Francolini, who supports us permanently and gives us everything we need to deploy these types of operations”.
