In commemoration of March 8th, International Women's Day, the Government of Entre Ríos, in conjunction with the Municipality of Concordia, held the Second Edition of Active Woman in our city this Sunday.
With the presence of Vice Governor Alicia Aluani, Mayor Francisco Azcué, and the Minister of Human Development Verónica Berisso, the event aimed to make visible and value the role of women in society, promoting their active participation in all aspects of public, social, and economic life.
On this occasion, recognitions were presented to various outstanding women from the Concordia department and other localities in the province.
“This was achieved thanks to joint work with the Provincial Government, the Chamber of Deputies, the Municipality of Concordia, and the Police of Entre Ríos with the goal of creating a meeting space, debating the role of women in each of the levels of society,” stated Aluani, adding that “it is important for us because we are carrying out policies that support not only the present but the future of women, without barriers.”
Knowing the needs of women from Entre Ríos, “we can work on public policies to improve, because although we all know that the role of women and men are equal, there is still a long way to go,” remarked the Vice Governor of Entre Ríos. “I celebrate that this event was held jointly because it highlights and prioritizes the role of women in different areas of society.”
For his part, Mayor Azcué stated that the holding of Active Woman in Concordia is one more example of the various joint actions that have been carried out between the Municipality and the Provincial Government, as per the mandate of Governor Rogelio Frigerio.
“We vindicate the role of women and work for equality, and it is something that commits us all, men and women, so that Entre Ríos is a province where there is parity, equal opportunities, and rights. Here we are one team because we understand that public policies often transcend in terms of competencies,” highlighted Azcué.
Finally, Minister Berisso pointed out that “the premise is to be able to be throughout the territory, bringing the State closer because we understand that the possibilities of reaching Paraná are not easy for everyone. We want an autonomous woman, and for that, we must be helping, providing tools for the development of women in different areas.”
The activity featured the presence and participation of local entrepreneurs and the Manos Entrerrianas brand, as well as institutional stands, a food court, and different female artists from our city and the province.
Accompanying were National Deputy Nancy Ballejos; Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza; Secretary of Care Policies Ayelen Acosta; Provincial Director of Women Joaquina Brondi; Secretary of Social Management Pablo Omarini; provincial legislators; council members; and representatives of security forces and intermediate organizations.
