A new training session was held on the use and safety of aerial assets for forest fire fighting and aero-evacuation. The activity was organized by the Fire Management Plan of the Province of Entre Ríos in conjunction with the Municipality of Concordia, through the Municipal Forest Brigade, which reports to the Secretariat of Health and the Directorate of Civil Protection and Health Emergencies.
The activities were conducted by instructors from the National Fire Management Service (SNMF) and were attended by the NEA Regional Coordination of the aforementioned national agency.
The theoretical part took place at the Convention Center, while the practical session was carried out at the Aeroclub Concordia, where intensive work was performed with an AT-802 air tanker and a multi-purpose helicopter. There, water loading and unloading maneuvers, aerial fire attack practices, and a personnel evacuation drill via helicopter were conducted.
Around 50 attendees participated, including firefighters and brigade members from the towns of Federación, Ubajay, San José, Colón, General Campos, Villa Domínguez, and Pronunciamiento; as well as representatives from the Municipal Forest Brigade of Concordia, Sapper Firefighters and Volunteer Firefighters of Concordia, the Forest Brigade of La Rioja, and the Provincial Fire Management Plan of Entre Ríos.
The municipality highlighted that these types of sessions allow for strengthening institutional ties and positioning Concordia as a regional training center for fire management, in coordination with the National Service, through the public policies carried out by the administration of Mayor Francisco Azcué and the Secretary of Health Diego Sauré.
That is why meetings were held with the NEA Regional Coordination to plan future training sessions in the city.
