Three days before the start of the Carnival, the city prepares to enjoy the 2017 edition of the biggest summer festival. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.concordiacarnaval.com.aror by visiting the Tourism Office at the Civic Center, Mitre and Pellegrini, where information on the different existing options is provided. This Monday and Tuesday, the 5 carnival groups held the official sound check at the Atanasio Bonfiglio Corsódromo, while the Carnival Entity finalizes details for the first parade.
This Saturday, January 21, after the inaugural ribbon-cutting, the first night will begin with the Unisur carnival group, which will display “A Story of Quixotes” on the Corsódromo track. Next will be the turn of Bella Samba, representing “Mirror, Mirror, the Vain One”. In third place, Imperio will parade, honoring “Holi”, one of the most traditional festivals celebrated by the Hindu religion. Then it will be the turn of the multi-champion, Ráfaga carnival group, which will showcase its tricolor passion on stage under the theme “The Uruguay River”. The closing will be in charge of the last champion, the glamorous Emperatriz, which will defend its latest title with “The Legend of El Dorado”.
It is reminded that for the first night, the price of advance tickets is $100. At the door, they will have a value of $150. Children from 2 to 12 years old pay $50, while children under 2 years old pay an insurance fee of $20.
