Cultural spaces play a fundamental role in the preservation of our identity, the promotion of local talent, and the transmission of our traditions. In this sense, the city of Concordia hosted the Pre Federal Contest – Concordia Sub-Venue, held at the Boliche Ducasse Cultural Association.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Concordia, Dr. Francisco Azcué, the Mayor of Federal, Mrs. Alicia Oviedo, the Undersecretary of Education and Culture of Concordia, Prof. Carlos Gatto, and the Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Federal, Flavio Márquez, who supported this important contest that promotes chamamé music and new talents from the region.
The contest was evaluated by a jury composed of renowned musicians from Concordia: Daniel Esteche, Ramón Maydana, and Mario Roldán. The groups Los Monchos (San Justo), Litoral Pyhajú (Santa Elena and La Paz), Ecos de Yuquerí (Concordia), and Los Hermanos Luna (Concordia) participated in the event.
By unanimous decision of the jury, the group Litoral Pyhajú was the winner of the contest, advancing to the next stage to be held in the city of Federal. Likewise, a special mention was awarded to the group Los Hermanos Luna, highlighting their artistic performance.
The proposal also featured the participation of guest artists, including La Embajada de Federal, with maestro Pajarito Silvestri; Daniel Esteche and his group; Julián Honeker and his group from Santa Anita; Los Hermanos Miño; the Ballet Peña La Juntada, and the closing performance by the Conjunto Boliche Ducasse, consolidating a day of celebration and cultural gathering.
From the Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretary of Education and Culture, we continue to support and strengthen these spaces that promote popular culture, joint work between localities, and the growth of our artists.
