The Municipality and the Province carried out a new stage of the Vaccination program in the neighborhoods, which is being conducted so that all children have their vaccination schedule up to date. The mayor Alfredo Francolini accompanied the work carried out in the Sarmiento neighborhood, and highlighted the commitment of health professionals in this type of approach.
“What we are doing is primarily an approach that allows us to provide the booster for all vaccine doses and we are completing all the children's vaccination cards”, pointedout the secretary of Health of the Municipality, Dr. Mauro García. The campaign is carried out by the Municipality together with the Epidemiology area of the Masvernat hospital and the Ministry of Health of the Province.
"Health promoters go through the neighborhood, house by house, checking the cards, both for children and adults, and for those who are missing a vaccine, the dose is administered", explained García. This action is carried out on Wednesdays and Fridays in different neighborhoods of the city, so that everyone can have access to complete the vaccination schedule.
At the same time, the professional pointed out that in this type of approach, we also "take the opportunity to reinforce awareness and education on prevention measures against the coronavirus pandemic. And it allows us to monitor the general health status of the population; if we detect any deficiency, we immediately coordinate in this case with the "Néstor Kirchner" Health Center, so that the person receives the necessary care".
