The Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity (EDOS) informs that, from Friday, August 8 at noon until the afternoon of Saturday, August 9, a scheduled shutdown will take place at the Water Treatment Plant. The objective is to execute essential maintenance tasks to improve the water service throughout the city.
During this period, the production of drinking water will be interrupted, so residents are advised to take the necessary precautions to reduce the impact.
The works, which are carried out annually, include the cleaning and disinfection of cisterns and storage tanks, which will ensure that the distributed water maintains its quality and potability.
Technical tasks will also be carried out on the distribution network, intervening at strategic points to optimize the system's operation, especially in areas with higher demand, such as the La Bianca and Pampa Soler neighborhoods.
As part of these actions, the cleaning of the distribution network will be carried out in key sectors, with the aim of reducing the turbidity levels generated by the accumulation of sediment in the pipes, a result of the general state of the network.
In addition, progress will be made with repair and replacement tasks for sluice valves in different parts of the city. These improvements will allow for better regulation of flow and pressure, which is fundamental to prevent future interruptions and ensure a more efficient distribution of the service.
The tasks will be carried out without water circulation in the pipes, and are planned to minimize inconvenience and guarantee a more efficient and safe service.
From EDOS, we appreciate the understanding and collaboration of all residents, reminding everyone of the importance of making responsible use of water during the time the tasks last.
