The International Boxing Federation Super Flyweight world title fight, which took place last Friday in Concordia, was an event followed from all over the country, with national television coverage and Internet broadcasting for the whole world. The opportunity to promote the city's biggest summer festival was not overlooked.
Between one round and the next of the fight in which Jorgelina “Jota” Guanini took the championship belt from Débora “La Gurisa” Dionicius, the Concordia Carnival was present, in addition to the promotion that was carried out at the Club Ferrocarril Gymnasium, and during the weigh-in and press conference stages of the boxing event. "We are taking advantage of every opportunity we have to make our presence felt and talk about the Concordia Carnival, and this event, which was televised nationwide, with all the significance it has, is a very important opportunity," pointed out Sebastián Cuberli, president of the Carnival Entity.
"Among other components of what the Carnival is, in addition to the strictly cultural and all the artistic part, a very important one is that it is a tourist product that is added to the natural proposals and other attractions of the city. That is why we are working together with the Secretariat of Tourism of the Municipality and Emcontur. Promoting the Carnival is promoting Concordia, and that is the way of working that we carry out and that the Mayor Enrique Cresto defined," he pointed out.
In this sense, Cuberli recalled that "we have carried out promotions at the thermal baths, letting the tourists who come to Concordia on these dates know about a good proposal to return in the summer. We accompany activities at the Casa de Entre Ríos in Buenos Aires, and we are always working on the promotion of the Carnival as an attraction that is added to the thermal destination that the city is," he affirmed.
