The Carnival Entity has been promoting the 2019 edition of the biggest summer festival at various events and cities, with the goal of ensuring the festival continues to grow and consolidate its tourism potential. Thus, in coordination with the Municipality's Secretariat of Tourism and Emcontur, special presentations have been held, such as the one that took place a few weeks ago at the Hot Springs, bringing the rhythm of the Carnival to the tourists who visited us during those days and inviting them to return to the city, as well as in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Last week, the Queen of the Concordia Carnival, Agustina Barrio, along with artists from the carnival festival and members of the Carnival Entity, accompanied Mayor Enrique Cresto in the signing of the agreement between the international marathons "De Reyes" and "Dino Hugo Tinelli" of the town of Bolívar. On the occasion, which was favorable for bringing the Carnival to the capital's media, National Deputy Eduardo Bucca highlighted the quality of our festival, which he was able to appreciate in the video images that accompanied the event at the Casa de Entre Ríos, and in the dialogue he held with the carnival artists from Concordia who were present.
"The Concordia Carnival is passion because it is experienced in a unique way in the stands, with great respect between each group of fans but with an effervescence that invites celebration. In January and February, Concordia is Carnival," said councilman Sebastián Cuberli, President of the Carnival Entity, during the meeting they held with Mayor Cresto and Deputy Bucca. "We invite you to get to know it in summer, because in addition, we have something unique in the country in the city, which is the Carnival of the Little Goblins, the nursery of the Concordia Carnival, a great idea that the Mayor's mother, Laura Martínez Pass de Cresto, had at the time, which are the neighborhood children's carnival groups, from which many of the figures of the main Carnival emerged," he specified.
"We have a carnival, but it is not as big. I am going to talk about it with Mayor Marcos Pisano, because in this joint work that we have with Enrique (Cresto), sharing cultural experiences, like this one of the carnival, will be very productive for everyone," replied Deputy Bucca. "We are going to work so that a delegation from the Carnival can be present at the "Dino Hugo Tinelli" Marathon, and to promote an agreement that allows us to exchange experiences and knowledge, so that Concordia can provide us with tools for our carnival to continue growing, and in turn allow you to make this tourist and cultural attraction known," he commented.
During the meeting, National Deputy Mayda Cresto and the Director of the Casa de Entre Ríos, José Ostrosky, were present, among others, and later the head of the Concordia municipality and Deputy Bucca met with Governor Gustavo Bordet, in order to continue deepening the coordination of policies for the tourism development of the region. In this sense, Mayor Cresto highlighted "the permanent support of Governor Bordet to the Carnival and the Marathon" as well as "to other events that we carry out in Concordia, which consolidate the city as a tourist destination. There is joint work between the Municipality and the Province for sports and cultural development and which is also a tourist development, one of the economic activities of the city that has the greatest growth potential," said the Mayor.
It should be remembered that Cresto and Bucca, who was Mayor of Bolívar until last December 10, signed a twinning agreement for the International Marathons that are run in these cities. In the case of the Buenos Aires town, it will be the twentieth edition of the Marathon organized by television host Marcelo Tinelli, while in ours it is the fortieth time for the athletic event. In that context, the national legislator emphasized the importance of strengthening the ties of twinning between the two cities, which allows for boosting the tourism, sports, cultural, and economic development of both localities.
