Two weeks before the start of a new edition of the Pequeños Duendes Popular Carnival, it has already been decided that on the first weekend, the magic and joy of the little ones will arrive at Carriego Street on Friday the 17th and at Entre Ríos Street on Sunday, December 19th.
"We held an organizational meeting with all the areas of the Concordia Municipality that make the Pequeños Duendes Carnival possible, such as Events, Health, Social Development, Public Services, Security, among others; we are defining the schedule of the parade dates and finalizing the details with everyone's contribution to begin the 2020 edition," commented Sonia Albonos, coordinator of Neighborhood Workshops and Cultural Events.
"The first date will be Friday, December 17th at the Concordia Costanera; this year it will not be held on Avenida de los Pueblos Originarios, but on Carriego Street. And then on Sunday the 19th we will be in the center, on Entre Ríos Street, from Velez Sarsfield towards Plaza Urquiza," she pointed out. "We are starting this 2020 edition of the Pequeños Duendes Carnival by returning to two streets that are emblematic to the history of our city's Carnival, such as Carriego and Entre Ríos streets," she said enthusiastically. "It is an idea that Leticia Ponzinibio brought forward, with the goal of continuing to recover and revalue the history of this celebration, and what the Pequeños Duendes Carnival means," she highlighted.
"Then we will continue in the following weekends with the parades in the neighborhoods, touring the different neighborhoods of the city, so that all families can enjoy and experience the children's carnival with completely free access, and so that all the children can express themselves, as is the hallmark defined by mayor Enrique Cresto for this celebration that belongs to everyone," she invited.
