The four competing carnival troupes took to the stage at the "Walter Perafán" Amphitheater on the Concordia Costanera to present their figures and showcase a drum show as a preview of what the 2020 edition of the Concordia Carnival will be. A large crowd accompanied the presentation held this Sunday night, far exceeding attendance expectations. The countdown to the start of the battle of passions begins.
"This is the prelude to what the 2020 Concordia Carnival will be; expectations are the best, and the large turnout accompanying this event confirms the growth that the festival has experienced, positioning itself today as one of the best carnivals in the country. That is what the Carnival Entity, the Municipality, and the private sector are working on, accompanying and supporting to make it possible," noted Matias Soto, coordinator of Popular Festivals for the Municipality.
The mayor of Federación, Ricardo Bravo, along with the National Queen of the Lake Festival, Ariana Galeano, were specially invited to this presentation, within the framework of the articulation policies that both cities are carrying out in cultural and tourism matters. "We have an excellent relationship with Enrique Cresto, and now with Alfredo Francolini, we are reinforcing joint work between Concordia and Federación for the tourism development of the region," said Ricardo Bravo in this regard. "This is the way to boost growth, join efforts, and be together. Our Carnival has a lot to grow, and the tourism growth of Concordia benefits the entire region," he affirmed.
"For me, it is a source of pride to share the presentation of this festival, perhaps the most important of the cultural festivals in Concordia, which has already transcended the region and we are at the level of the best in the country," expressed provincial senator Armando Gay. "Although we are in a very difficult moment for the country, seeing the growth it has had, how each of the troupes works, and how the Municipality works with the support of the Province, is extremely satisfying. It is the product of the work that has been done for a long time and the commitment that mayor Enrique Cresto has had," he highlighted.
"We had two great festivals, such as the Citriculture Festival and the International Kings Marathon, and now we are close to the start of the Carnival, which is one of the great events that draws crowds every summer weekend," analyzed Mayor Alfredo Francolini, in reference to the summer season. And he highlighted "the work of all the carnival participants, who for many months put all their effort into providing a high-quality show. That is why, from the Municipality, all areas collaborate with its realization, together with the Carnival Entity that is working very well," he emphasized.
Also accompanying the presentation was Enrique Cresto, currently in charge of the administration of the National Entity for Water Works and Sanitation, summoned by President Alberto Fernández. "Very happy with the entire team of the Municipality" for the continuity of the administration, Cresto expressed first, and thanked "Ricardo Bravo for his presence, because the entire Salto Grande region must have a single tourism policy, and that is what is being demonstrated here with his presence together with mayor Alfredo Francolini and provincial senator Armando Gay, all working together for the development of the region," highlighted the national director of ENOHSA. "The Carnival is one of the great popular festivals of Concordia, and it is a festival made by the people," he added.
As a summary of the great presentation that the most passionate of Carnivals had, the executive director of the Carnival Entity, Sebastián Cuberli, indicated that "on the Costanera there were more than ten thousand people at this presentation of the 2020 Carnival; this is a preview of the great success that this edition will be," he did not hesitate to point out. "This is the result of the joint work carried out by the Carnival Entity with each of the areas of the Municipality, and this entire team led by Enrique Cresto, with Alfredo Francolini as Mayor. And mainly, of the commitment, passion, dedication, and great effort made by each of the members of the four troupes who, starting Saturday, January 25, will make the Atanasio Bonfiglio Corsódromo vibrate," invited Cuberli.

Present at the Launch and Presentation of the 2020 Carnival, in addition to those mentioned, were the president of the Conased Foundation Leticia Ponzinibio, the Secretary of Management Coordination Fernando Barboza, the Secretary of Economic Development Aldo Álvarez, the Secretary of Social Development Amadeo Cresto, the president of the Deliberative Council Daniel Cedro, and councilwoman Lía Solís, among other authorities and officials.
